frustration

Right so CS4 loses, i've had to revert to CS3 which i don't have a copy of, and in converting the work i've done i've undone all the motion tweens created in CS4. lame. I'm even considering going stop-motion with this, even although the whole point was to get to grips with flash. I've worked on a soundtrack on reason, its dead simple, i wanted it to be upbeat and a jaunty old tune, also loads of bleeps because the kind of sine-esque synth keys worked so well on the casiotone for the painfully alone vid. Its pretty much just a looped track after the intro - it makes it easier to work with in the animation.

I thought hand drawn titles would be a good look, kind of reflects the characters/animation style. 

Walkees

So i've managed to mess about with flash for the first time and get this dude to walk across the screen, for some reason i'm having troubles uploading it here. I definitely need to mess about with the animation ALOT i don't want it to seem as smooth as it does and I'm gonna have to scan alot of stuff in to get it looking kind of hand drawn/illustrative a la the julia potts video mentioned before..

right, so i'm tryin to get my storyboard game down, this is the kid of basics of wht i want to happen with some shots missing...

for some reason i can't find some of the scans, right around here another icey guy will appear from the tray..

again, there is parts missing, here a hand will come in and wipe the melted icepuddles down a plughole..
..and here a hand will pour water into this tray from a tap

I'm in love with this video, animation by Julia Pott for Casiotone for the Painfully Alone. his new album sucks bumholes, duno why it took me so long to realise this video existed.
